Databricks Plants A Flag In Silicon Valley: The Bay Area Deal Sheet
Databricks is staking a bigger claim in the Bay Area, locking down 305K SF at 200 W. Washington in Sunnyvale’s Cityline project for what will become its Silicon Valley hub.
The artificial intelligence-focused analytics company has been on a leasing tear, securing a new 150K SF global headquarters in San Francisco and maintaining offices in Mountain View since 2020. The Sunnyvale building is expected to deliver in late 2026 after a full interior build-out.

Cushman & Wakefield brought on Conor Flannery as executive vice chair. Flannery comes from JLL, having closed more than 1,200 leases and $3B in acquisitions during his tenure.

FH One Investments acquired Synaptics’ corporate headquarters building at 1109 and 1151 McKay Drive in San Jose for $29.5M, or about $265 per SF. Newmark brokered the deal on both sides, with a team led by Steven Golubchik, Edmund Najera, Darren Hollak and Brendan Raney.

BKM Capital Partners and Kayne Anderson Real Estate acquired a 505K SF, three-property light industrial portfolio in Hayward and Concord. The 16-building, 94-unit Bay Area portfolio was marketed by CBRE National Partners.

Oakland-based Lakeside Group acquired The Grand, a 243-unit, 23-story Class-A multifamily tower at 100 Grand Ave. in Oakland. JLL brokered and found financing for the deal, with sales led by Matt Kroger, Brandon Geraldo, Ryan Wagner and Fatai Alashe. Jordan Angel and Matt Cimino arranged financing.
LEASES
BXP signed eight new retail leases totaling 16K SF at Embarcadero Center in San Francisco, bringing in a mix of tenants including a women-owned boutique, French patisserie, pilates studio and burger spot.
CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT
CBRE, 9th St. Partners and Clarion Partners broke ground on Campus at Bayside, a 473K SF, six-building advanced manufacturing park in Fremont’s Bayside Technology Park. Phase 1, set to deliver in the second quarter of 2026, will total 253K SF across three buildings geared toward manufacturing and research and development users.
FINANCING
Gantry secured a $7M permanent loan to refinance a 48K SF industrial facility at 1635 McCarthy Blvd. in Milpitas. The 3.4-acre property is fully leased to a long-term manufacturing tenant. Gantry’s Murphy Osborne and Alex Poulos represented the borrower, a private investor.
