Redevelopment on Hops Highway

Snapped at the brewery and hotspot Booze Brothers Co in Vista late last week: Lee & Associates–North San Diego County prez David Howard, colleague Monique Medley, and McKibben Media’s Dave McKibben. Monique organized the event as one of a series of get-togethers in the local craft brewery industry to stay abreast of evolving laws and regulations applying to the biz. And, of course, to try a few brewskis.

Monique tells us that Route 78 from Oceanside to Julian—the “Hops Highway”—is the epicenter of craft brewing in San Diego County. Breweries, brew pubs, and beer manufacturing facilities are continuing to expand in this part of the county, whose aging industrial stock makes it ripe for redevelopment. Booze Brothers has its facility in a former warehouse in Vista's industrial district.
