Snapped at the Escondido Performing Arts Center on Friday: the Innovative Commercial Environments (ICE) team at Building Bridges, an event supporting the development of the new TERI campus in San Marcos. ICE prez DeLinda Forsythe tells us that ICE, an office and hospitality furniture specialist, is a long-standing supporter of TERI and its mission. Also in attendance were San Diego County Supervisor Dave Roberts, a prominent supporter and spokesman at the event, which featured author Ron Suskind, whose book and upcoming Disney documentary Life, Animated is about relating to his autistic son through Disney animation and affinity learning. Bisnow was a media sponsor of the event.

Since its inception in 1980, TERI has grown tremendously, remaining true to its original goal of transforming the quality of life for children and adults with developmental and learning disabilities. Currently the organization is at work building a “Campus of Life,” a 20-acre campus designed by Whipple Russell Architects that will offer enrichment programs providing caregiver and family education services that include health and fitness activities, culinary, arts and vocational education. The Campus of Life will also provide an opportunity to build on existing research that is vital to integrating their residents and clients into the social world.
