Waterfront Smart Buildings On Tap

We keep hearing that smart buildings will boastthe latest and greatest emerging technologies, helping to lure tech and new generation, creative-type businesses. All the more reason to put together our next event, theBisnowEconomic and Real Estate Forecast. We've put together a great line-up for theMay 1 shindig at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla. One headliner will be Dealy DevelopmentpresidentPerry Dealy (shown at last year's Future ofDowntown Summit).He'sin pre-development for Phase 1 of Manchester Financial Group's Manchester Pacific Gateway, including identifying candidates for the office portion of the eight-block, mixed-use project. He's targeting anybusiness whose workforce wants to be an urban, downtown environment.

MANCHESTER PACIFIC GATEWAY

Because development on the bay is restricted, Perry says Manchester Pacific Gateway will offer Downtown'sonly waterfront office buildings. He's also going through entitlements for Manchester Financial's Union Tribune master plan in Mission Valley, which calls for the additions of a high-rise residential tower along the river, and a 250k SF office tower on I-8, among the mix of uses.
