Lincoln's New Acquisition Trooper
We got to chat with Scott Moffatt, who just joined the SD office of Lincoln Property Co to focus on the firm’s local acquisition efforts. Scott, who just married his wife Kaitlin in August, is back in San Diego after two years in LA working on his master’s degree at USC and with TA Associates. Scott has quite the commercial real estate pedigree: His father is Colliers VP Ty Moffatt (and his brother Kyle also works under his father at the same firm). Scott says Lincoln is in the market for value-add plays, which could be as simple as sprucing up an existing facility all the way to ground-up development. Currently, the firm is under contract with a two-building, 75k SF office unnamed office project in an off-market transaction. How will he add value here? “Well, we'll be taking two R&D buildings from the '80s and modernizing them,” he says (so long as they keep the parachute pants).
