A new business resource center and co-working space is opening inside the Tempe Public Library. Called the Business Resource and Innovation Center, or BRIC, it will be home to a series of workshops led by experts in fields such as finance, marketing, taxes, social media, attracting top talent, teen entrepreneurship, insurance and legal issues. BRIC will provide free WiFi and will feature a conference room outfitted with A/V presentation equipment for small companies in need of a place to meet with potential investors, suppliers and clients.

“Entrepreneurs and small businesses are vital to a sustainable economy,” says Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell. “Tempe is a city of great ideas. We want to empower our creative people to turn those ideas into successful businesses. Programs such as BRIC are important tools to help us accomplish this.”

BRIC’s grand opening celebration will be held Sept. 20.
