West End Station, a new $12M affordable housing development in Tucson, will be serviced by Rainbow Housing Assistance Corp. The project is among the first Section 811 developments in Arizona utilizing the Low Income Tax Credit program. West End Station is scheduled to be complete in mid-2018.

The 70-unit complex will be available to those 18 years or older with significant, long-term developmental disabilities. Developer Gorman & Co selected Rainbow to provide a wide range of services for residents, including serving as a liaison between residents and their case managers.

“Partnering with Rainbow not only provides us a wealth of experience in affordable housing, but brings forth real people who will help enhance the quality of life for our future residents,” Gorman’s Arizona market president Brian Swanton says. “Adults with developmental disabilities are increasingly shut out of today’s tightening rental market. It’s a great day when we can build high-quality, affordable and accessible housing for adults with special needs in our community, and wrap them with the supportive services they so desperately need.”
