Co-working firm Benjamin’s Desk inked a lease for 10k SF at the newly repositioned The Curtis at 601 Walnut St in Center City. "As a firm at the forefront of co-working, Benjamin's Desk was very interested in establishing an outpost in The Curtis," Keystone Property Group SVP Richard Gottlieb tells us, adding that the co-working firm was attracted by the property's flexible floor plan as well as the building's historic nature—two things flexibility- and authenticity-minded Millennials want.

With two Philadelphia locations and several others under consideration, Benjamin’s Desk tenants include entrepreneurs, startups and others looking for nontraditional office facilities. The new office space paradigm works especially well in mixed-use locations, Richard says. "With the addition of housing, retail and dining components, Benjamin's Desk recognized The Curtis as an ideal fit for its new location."
