Museum Towers II Moving Ahead

Philadelphia

Forest City Residential's proposed second phase of the Museum Towers in Logan Square scored positive feedback from Tuesday’s Civic Design Review Committee, SVP Abe Naparstek tells us. The project (its Perkins Eastman rendering above) includes 270 units on 16 floors (with an additional 16 townhomes), as well as a parking garage for MT I & II residents. Forest City still needs zoning variances before groundbreaking this summer. Abe thinks Philly’s overall multifamily dynamics are strong, especially in Logan Square, now home to the Granary, the planned Rodin Square, and Forest City's One Franklin Town Apts. And while developers are building ever upward, there’s still plenty of room to grow, he says, as MT II's proposed density (500% FAR) is still modest compared to other big-city markets
