A Hero, Home Again

Philadelphia

When The McKee Group's Frank J. McKee met Iraq War vet Sgt. Pisey Tan, it changed the lives of both men irrevocably forever. That's not a TV pilot, either. Working with Homes for Our Troops, Frank rallied the community and built a house in Delaware County for Pisey, a double amputee who returned home in 2006. Their friendship endures to the present. Now a married father of two, Pisey earned his degree in business administration last spring and wants to devote himself to helping others in need. "It's a blessing and a miracle," he says of his life, and names the McKee family as his inspiration for encouraging him to go to college. Frank (pictured with wife, Karen, and Pisey) is equally emphatic: "He is just a terrific young man and easily the most motivated guy I've met in my life."
