PGA Tour Superstore, a specialist in golf and tennis retailing, has expanded in the Orlando market, opening a store in Altamonte Springs to serve the north Orlando and Seminole County markets. The location is adjacent to the Altamonte Mall.

"With more than 170 golf courses in the area, Orlando is a paradise for golfers of all levels and an obvious market to expand our growing brand," PGA Tour Superstore President and CEO Dick Sullivan said.

The chain is operated by Golf & Tennis Pro Shop Inc., a subsidiary of Roswell, Georgia-based AMB Group. The brand is the Professional Golfers' Association Tour's off-course/off-airport retail partner in North America.

The stores stress experiential golf. PGA Tour Superstores carry clubs, accessories, footwear and apparel, but are also staffed with golf teachers and have swing simulators, practice-hitting bays and large putting greens. There is also an in-house club-making and repair facility.

The Orlando location includes practice-hitting bays with swing analysis software, interactive simulators and a 2,400 SF putting green.

PGA Tour Superstores also host free Kids Zone clinics each month, along with a Get Golf Ready Ladies Program and virtual nine-hole leagues. The retailer says it plans to aggressively grow its brick-and-mortar business by 50% over the next three years.
