More bad news for struggling JC Penney.

The Plano, Texas-based department store, which is closing up to 140 stores nationwide and is expected to have layoffs, has now said it will close its big distribution facility in Buena Park, the Orange County Register reports.

Operations from the 1M SF center will move to the Inland Empire. The 24-acre property at 6031 Orangethorpe Ave. was most recently appraised for $35M.

There are more than 30 JCPenney stores in Southern California. The company is expected to release its full store closure list by mid-March.
