Ramada Plaza Anaheim is about to undergo a six-month, $4M reno after which the hotel will be rebranded as a Wyndham Garden.

The hotel at 515 West Katella Ave. is near the Anaheim Convention Center and Disneyland. Ramada Plaza and Wyndham Garden are kindred brands under New Jersey's Wyndham Hotel Group, the Orange County Business Journal reports.

Union Investments USA, which owns the Ramada Plaza Anaheim, plans to do a reno of the hotel's meeting spaces, offices and lobby and an expansion of the fitness center. Union Investments principal Stephen Hsu is also the owner of the hotel's next door neighbor, Hotel Indigo Anaheim.

Some of Disneyland's latest attractions, including Star Wars Land, are helping fuel hotel growth in the area. Star Wars Land is scheduled to open in two years. Anaheim Convention Center's $190M expansion, which includes more than 200K SF of meeting space, is expected to open this year.
