Urban Country!

Last night we also went to the Urban Country Loves Local 23rd anniversary wine and hors d’oeuvres reception at its Bethesda shop to benefit area wounded warriors. We snapped New Realities Group’s Robin Wolfson, Discovery Communications’ Gina Collis, and Urban Country interior designer Wendy Shapiro.

Numerous local and national home furnishings companies donated a variety of items for the silent auction, including Textillery Weavers, Sugarboo, Alexandra Ferguson, Maple Leaf Designs, Rosanna, Mistral, Designers Guild, Diane Markin, and Wesley Hall Furniture. Here, Country Designs’ Cass Key, FitzGerald Interiors’ Martha Blair FitzGerald, design journalist Scott Sowers, Pamela’s Punch’s Pamela Sorensen, and LilyMae Design’s Lisa Puchalla.

A silent auction had a large selection from Urban Country and numerous Bethesda Row merchants and restaurants with proceeds benefitting The Combat Soldiers Recovery Fund, a Maryland-based nonprofit that provides 100% of donations to wounded soldiers recovering at area military hospitals.
