We also went to Pennsylvania Ave for a culinary adventure at Taste of DC, as over 60 establishments served yummy bites along Restaurant Row and Food Truck Alley. At the Global BBQ, Beer & Bourbon Festival from Cochon 555, we checked out the Punch Kings & Pigs Competition where competing chefs created pork-centric dishes. We snapped Vidalia executive chef Jeff Ruben with Jayro Cruz and Paolo Dungca serving pork and beans.

Bartenders from 12 establishments also competed in the Highly-Spirited Punch Competition. Here, Punch Kings winner Duane Sylvestre, his wife LSY Architects’ Jaqueline Sylvestre, and Taste of DC CEO Steuart Martems.

The competition's judges included the food industry’s finest including Goose Island’s Suzanne Wolcott, Ryan Daley, and Jesse Valenciana.

The event attracted masses of area foodies. Here, Annapolis’ Dry 85 and Red Wine Bar’s owner Brian Bolter and Lisa Bolter.
