Splash Yards!

Saturday we went to Splash Yards, an adult outdoor water festival, hosted at The Yards park.

At the giant adult pool party, guests stayed cool with an inflatable water slide, two pools with individual motorboats, and people-sized hamster balls.

Guests played lawn games like Jenga, ladder ball, and corn hole, and enjoyed frozen drinks at an 18-foot tiki bar. Here, attorney Elizabeth Westbrook, computer scientist Scott Daryl, project manager Arianna Nagle, and systems analyst Jeff Roetting.

There was also a water battle of epic proportions, with buckets of water, water soakers, and blasters. Here, GW’s Carrie Williams, UMBC’s Sarah Boyle, Medical Center’s Leanna Frye, with Eric Johnson.

BrandLink’s Sarah Brady and Shelby Benkert flank Bluejacket Brewery’s Bryce Merlene, which provided beer.

There was music by much-loved '90s party band White Ford Bronco.
