We went to Urban Land Institute Washington's Women's Leadership Initiative's "Like A Boss" networking event at The Apollo on H Street. Guests started the evening mingling, taking tours of the newly opened apartment complex developed by Insight Property Group, and enjoying sparkling pomegranate punch and Dominican spiced cider from Wydown. Everyone did a little shopping from local retailers, including Trunk Club, Ann Mashburn and Follain. Proceeds went toward Suited for Change, which provides professional clothing for low-income women seeking employment.
