Heart’s Delight!

Still covering some of the many great weekend events, including White House Correspondents Dinner parties, but we’ll start at the Ritz Carlton for the final fantastic day of Heart’s Delight, the annual four-day food and wine extravaganza.

Chef Victor Albisu served different creations from his restaurants Taco Bamba and Del Campo which, earlier in the day, had held a Cinco de Mayo celebration, the Bamba Bowl, with a friendly taco competition. He served yummy Tostaditos de Tinga de Pollo, a roast tomato and chipotle-stewed chicken taco. We snapped him bookended by architect Shalom Baranes and Capital Adventure's Ellie McMullen.

Top chefs and vintners flew in from around the country to support a wonderful cause. We snapped Graham Elliott, known as Obama’s favorite chef when he lived in Chicago, who served Springtime on a Plate: mackerel, crispy kale, garlic, orange essence, pearl onion, and micro radish.

One of the Pie Sisters, Erin Blakely with developer JM Zell’s Jeff Zell, who told us he loved the Chateau Lynch-Bages 2011 they were pouring.

Heart Association Board chair, CGI’s Cheryl Campbell, her husband EagleForce CEO Stanley Campbell, and Strelmark’s Hilary Fordwich who, no surprise, came straight from the golf course.
