DC Shorts!

We went to the 11th annual Best of DC Shorts at Burke Theatre at the US Navy Memorial, showcasing the festival’s award winning short films. The films in the screening had been voted on by audiences; the winners were chosen by a jury of industry leaders. We snapped Justice Dept’s Catherine Porto, Hill staffer Gable Brady, Hong Zhu, and Luke Pardue.

The 11-day festival included filmmaker parties, a grand bash, awards brunch, free family shows, and LGBT shorts. Here, GW’s Andrew Barnett, USAID’s Anthony Cotton, the Navy’s Christy Osowski, and Senate staffer Brian Burton.

Winning films included Cadet, Yearbook, and He’s a Fighter. You can view them online at the DC Shorts website. Here, Sheila McCormick, Annette Lyles, and Technoserve’s Krisila Benson.
