Saturday night we went to The Capital City Ball at Georgetown’s City Tavern Club.
The eighth annual black tie gala raised money to fight human trafficking and modern-day slavery. We snapped Washington Life’s John Arundel, actor Vincent De Paul, Capital City Ball executive committee member Michelle McDonald and casting director Kimberly Skyrme.
The Ball featured a luxurious reception with hot and cold hors d'oeuvres and an open bar. Here, TAP LLC’s Theo Abbott, Blessed Haven’s Danielle Jennings and Capital City Ball co-founder John Dunford.
The silent auction included artwork, sports tickets, handcrafted objects, collectibles and dinners at great local restaurants. There was live music by Bittersweet, an 11-piece, high-energy dance band, and lots of unabashed dancing.
