Raising the Bar Raises $5M

Solicitor General Donald Verrilli was on hand to make remarks at the Raising the Bar reception in Covington's office this week, and there was a lot to celebrate: the 48 firms participating raised more than $5M. The honoree firms each donated a percentage of their DC office revenue to local legal services organizations. Jenner & Block, where Verrilli used to be a partner, was one of the eight law firms that helped launch the Raising the Bar Campaign in 2011.

Jess Rosenbaum is the executive director of the DC Access to Justice Commission. Its 2014 Raising the Bar Campaign represents an increase of more than $2M since the Campaign began four years ago, and the number of participating firms has more than doubled.
