The midterms also swept in the legalization of marijuana in DC. DC Initiative 71 will make it A-OK to own up to six marijuana plants. Anyone over 21 can legally have 2 ounces of marijuana for personal use. (Personal use is key: selling marijuana is still illegal, as is smoking in public.) Not so fast, however, says Price Benowitz's Shawn Sukumar; though the initiative passed with a vote, Congress will have a 60-day review where it can overturn it.
