Over 250 high school students, mentors and volunteers descended on Cvent’s Tysons HQ last weekend to create software and hardware projects within 24 hours. It was part of DCHacks’ high school hackathons held throughout the region. Some of the winners included an app that helps people learn a language and proper pronunciation; another app helps people find certain restaurants in between two locations; another provides Metrorail and Metrobus accessibility heatmaps, station predictions and real-time train and bus location info.
