ByteGrid Acquires Compliant Hosting Giant Sidus

Today, state-of-the-art colocation provider ByteGrid Holdings announced the acquisition of Annapolis-based Sidus BioData, the leading provider of compliant hosting solutions for FDA and HIPAA-HITECH regulated companies. Sidus adds specialized compliant offerings and expertise, including regulatory consulting services to Bytegrid’s cloud and IT infrastructure services, says 451 Group research analyst Rick Kurtzbein. ByteGrid operates out of more than 750k SF in nine data centers. But the holy grail will surely be ByteGrid’s nine-megawatt, 214k SF Silver Spring flagship, Maryland’s largest multi-tenant data center (pictured). This facility, along with Sidus’ turnkey hosting solutions, will serve a growing community of biotech, life sciences and federal government users.
