The headquarters building The JBG Cos. built in 2006 for the Department of Transportation helped spark the revitalization of the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood, and it is helping JBG take home trophies more than a decade later.
JBG's commercial management team was named the Grand Winner at the 2017 TOBY Awards for its management of the DOT building.
The 33rd annual TOBY awards, held by the Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington, recognized the top building management teams in the D.C. area.

Crystal Gateway North, managed by Vornado, won the TOBY award for buildings from 250K SF to 500K SF. The Center for Strategic and International Studies at 1660 Rhode Island Ave. NW, managed by CBRE, won the 100K SF to 250K SF category.
The award for the top renovated building was given to the Silverline Center in Tysons, managed by WashREIT. Vornado also won the historical building award for its management of 1101 17th St. NW.
Vornado took home two of the three awards for knowledge and excellence in emergency preparedness. Two buildings it manages, 1730 M St. NW and 2345 Crystal Drive, won K.E.E.P awards. Brookfield won the third K.E.E.P. award for 1250 Connecticut Ave. NW.
