Celebrity Chef Launches Crowdfunding Page to Fight Trump Lawsuit

Celebrity Chef Jose Andres could use a hand raising some money following Donald Trump’s lawsuit against him. Andres has a crowdfunding webpage that has been up for 16 days with the goal of raising $100k. The Donald filed suit against Andres after the chef pulled out of a restaurant deal at Trump’s planned Old Post Office luxury hotel in response to the presidential candidate’s controversial immigration comments. The suit was filed in DC’s US District Court on July 31 and alleges two counts of breach of contract while seeking $10M and attorneys fees. Andres’ crowdfunding efforts have raised $8,600 thus far. [WBJ]
