Former Colliers Internationl SVP Steve Mutty has abandoned the commercial real estate ship after 30 years aboard to take the wheel of an entirely different vessel: the Alexandria Seaport Foundation.
Steve is the new executive director of the nonprofit, and we caught up with him this morning at his new office: a boat shop floating on the Potomac in the middle of Alexandria’s historic waterfront. Instead of striking deals, he's now working with at-risk young adults who apprentice in boat building. Congrats to Steve on his new endeavor, and anchors away!
