Ross Perot Jr.'s development company is partnering on $200M worth of residential development in Northern Virginia.

Kettler announced Wednesday it formed a partnership with Perot's Hillwood Communities to build residential projects in Leesburg, Woodbridge and Fredericksburg.

The team plans to break ground in March on Fredericksburg Park, a project consisting of 284 homes and commercial space near downtown Fredericksburg. It also plans to begin construction in the coming months on Riverside Station, a 118-unit townhouse project on 11 acres in Woodbridge. The Fredericksburg and Woodbridge projects are both over 20 miles from D.C., but sit near VRE commuter rail stations.

Later this year, the team plans to break ground on a 64-home, single-family community in Leesburg branded as East Quarter.

Perot, the son of former presidential candidate Ross Perot, founded Hillwood in 1988. The company has delivered 89 master-planned communities totaling over 28,000 residential units. Perot also led the efforts to build the U.S. Air Force Memorial in Arlington, Virginia.

"We are excited about the strategic alliance of our businesses, as Hillwood extends its presence to the D.C. market," Kettler CEO Bob Kettler said in a release. "Given their success elsewhere, we have no doubt that this expansion will have a positive impact on our community."
