FCP, Insight Property Partners Buy Buchanan School Property

Federal Capital Partners and Insight Property Group have acquired the Buchanan School property in Capitol Hill for $21M and are planning a three-phase redevelopment.

The property at 1325 D St SE was purchased from International Graduate University. Plans call for a new residential community known as Buchanan Park that will include as many as 41 row houses and 41 condominiums.

Upon closing, FCP and Insight sold the condo parcel to Ditto Residential, which plans to begin the condo development in the former school building this year. FCP and Insight plan to begin the initial phase of construction of the three- and four-bedroom row houses this year as well.

Federal Capital Partners VP Erik Weinberg will be speaking at our DC Economic Forecast event later this month.
