British hotel chain Yotel has unveiled new details on its D.C. debut later this year on Capitol Hill.

The 402-room hotel will be Yotel's first-ever renovation and rebrand of an existing hotel, after BLDG Management and Metrovest Equities acquired the Liaison Capitol Hill in March 2019 and brought on the brand.

The hotel is continuing to operate during the renovation effort and expects to relaunch this fall under the Yotel brand. The hotel will feature a revamped rooftop bar and pool, plus 21K SF of meeting and events space. The hotel's restaurant, Art and Soul, will also undergo a transformation of the space and menu.

The rooms, which Yotel calls cabins, will be split between 136 "Premium King Cabins" starting at $199/night and 266 "First Class Cabins" starting at $239/night. The hotel at 415 New Jersey Ave. NW sits less than a half-mile from Union Station and the U.S. Capitol.

It will be the 10th U.S. property for Yotel after opening in New York, Boston, San Francisco, Miami, Atlanta and Long Island. Yotel is the latest of several new hotel brands to enter the D.C. market in recent years.

“Our rapid global expansion is very exciting and further asserts our prominence in the U.S. and on the world stage," Yotel CEO Hubert Viriot said. "We have a proven track record operating globally with hotels in many of the key feeder markets to Washington – Boston, New York, San Francisco and Europe. Furthermore, the hotel offering in Washington is fairly traditional and YOTEL is ready to introduce our cleverly designed cabins ideal for short and long stays.”
