Food service company Thompson Hospitality wants to build a hotel on a surface parking lot next to its Reston HQ.
The company, operating as TH Holdings Co., applied to build a four-story, 138-room hotel next to its office at 1741 Business Center Drive, Reston Now reports.
The proposal calls for a 98,500 SF hotel with an outdoor terrace facing the office building. It would retain 299 parking spaces, 149 of them for hotel guests. It is designed to fit in with a new street planned for the site that would connect Business Center Drive to Michael Faraday Drive. Reston's Planning and Zoning Committee will vote on the proposal Feb. 26.
The property is part of Lake Fairfax Business Park, sitting just off the Dulles Toll Road and about one mile from the Wiehle-Reston East Metro station. That station, the current terminus of the Silver Line until Phase 2 is completed, has a full pipeline of development around it, including massive mixed-use projects from JBG Smith and Comstock Partners.
