Dewberry's Lidia Berger (second from left) said LEED certification isn't just about getting the plaque anymore. (Though it's still nice to have something to hold up against your children's soccer trophies—to remind them you're better than them.) More and more owners are performing specific analysis on how it affects returns, and Lidia has even implemented a valuation called "Sustainable ROI" to monetize the cash and non-cash benefits of LEED. Speaking yesterday at CREW's state of sustainability panel, she was joined on the panel by moderator Jim Davis of Davis Construction, JBG's Tony Greenberg, the USGBC's Judith Webb, and Newmark Grubb Knight Frank's Sally Wilson.
