JANET DAVIS

Brandywine Realty Trust’s Janet Davis (with colleagues Jerry Kilkenny and Mike Cooper) started her professional life working in a coal mine (as a coal trader, that is). "The miners turned the lights off in the deep mine shaft to scare me," she says, though she quickly earned their respect. She left coal mining for real estate, becoming Trammell Crow’s first female leasing agent in DC. After a few successful years, she joined Brandywine’s predecessor firm, Cadillac Fairview/Prentiss Properties. She leads leasing for Brandywine's DC-area portfolio and has completed deals with some of the area’s biggest tenants—such as IBM, Carlyle Group, General Dynamics, and Northrop Grumman. Outside the office, Janet’s an avid sailor and loves spending time at her family’s home on the Eastern Shore.
