Grunley Construction: Beyond Federal Projects

Grunley Construction Co SVP of operations Chip Scott reminds us that even though the firm is very well known for its federal contracting work, it has a large number of private projects in the queue. It just finished a high-rise multifamily building in downtown DC, and has another one scheduled for completion this summer. A new HQ building for the American Enterprise Institute is underway at 1785 Mass Ave as well as two planned higher education projects for Virginia Tech and the Northern Virginia Community College Annandale Campus. Grunley has also been awarded a new project for The Smithsonian Institution's Museum of Natural History. Government work continues to be a mainstay for Grunley, with continued contract awards for complex renovation and modernization of DC buildings, often historic, that are occupied by government agencies.
