FCP Keeps It Interesting

Federal Capital Partners' EJ Corwin (right, with colleague Jason Ward) says his firm is always looking for interesting deals, no matter what asset class.EJ says the firm just closed on a $10M mezz loan on behalf of Insight Property Group and Rock Creek Property Group for their 240-unit apartment development near Huntington Metro (which will break ground this quarter). The firm also closed a $5M mezz deal for a Raleigh apartment complex in January, he says. And though FCP looks for unique deals all over the place, having reliable sponsors with good access to capital (like Insight and Rock Creek) allow for easy closes, EJ says.
