Bisnow Scoop: 16th Street Apartment Sale

According to DC public records, the Barclay Apartments at 16th and Corcoran streets have just sold for $16M. A deed recorded yesterday shows that an affiliate of the Van Metre Companies purchased the property from Carmel Partners. Van Metre also purchased the property next door, the Ravenel Apartments, last summer. Carmel Partners CIO Christopher Beda says the firm still sees DC as one of its core markets, and that Carmel will "remain active in pursuing investment opportunities and growing our portfolio in the DC metro area."
