Wall Financial Proposes Rental Building for East Hastings

Wall Financial Corp is seeking to build a 12-storey, 172-unit rental building at 288 East Hastings St, a property it bought from Fan Tower Inc last year for $5M, according to the Vancouver Province. Designed by Endall Elliot Associates, the project includes 104 non-market rental units (micro-suites averaging 255 SF), as per new zoning rules requiring 60% of units in the Oppenheimer District be social housing. The six floors above will house 68 market-rental suites ranging from 360 SF studios to 840 SF two-bedroom units. The building will include 31 parking spots in an underground garage. [VP]
