Fish Tales: Watch The Waves

High Peak’s Fabio Fiumana tells us the story of taking a client on a float fishing trip on the Saugeen River, close to Southampton. The guide was a little nauseous from the festivities from the night before, Fabio says, so the waves and whitecaps made for a bumpy ride that day. “He had to row the boat to keep us off the shoals,” Fabio says. They drifted down river, casting for steelhead; the largest they caught weighed 11 pounds and was bright silver. “[The fish] was just in from Lake Huron,” he says. High Peak has a number of retail projects on the go, most recently a lease deal for Sail in Tri City, an outdoor/sports lifestyle shopping centre in Cambridge.
