CPA Expands at 277 Wellington

Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada is not only staying but expanding its office space at 277 Wellington St. W. (No move means employees' secret hiding spots remain in tact.)

“They are 277 Wellington St W,” says Avison Young principal Chris Brown. CPA (a merger of the three accounting designations in Canada) now has a staff of 300. Instead of finding a new home to address operational issues, augmenting and expanding where they were was a far better solution. Triovest owns the building. Snapped is Chris with CPA EVP Joy Thomas and manager of office services Doreen Sims.

“This was a case study of a landlord listening to the challenges faced by a tenant and coming up with a real solution,” Chris says. Out of the nine floors in the tower, CPA now will take over six, with a new 10-year lease that starts in 2017. (Or three more World Cups, if that's your preferred unit of measurement.) “It’s a great vote of confidence for the building,” Chris says.
