With 50 million blessings from the City of Miami, Meg Daly's longtime dream is finally becoming reality.

The City of Miami approved this week its share of the $120M, 10-mile walking path called The Underline, which stretches from Dadeland South Station up and through Brickell Station.
The dream of Miami Underline's head honcho gestated as she traveled on foot below Metrorail to physical therapy nursing two broken arms more than four years ago, Meg previously told us.
The city approved $50M in park impact fees for the public/private project, and now The Underline—the trail and park under the Miami Metrorail—is on track to begin construction next year, Meg says.

Friends of The Underline has also been instrumental in raising money, including $3.5M from Miami Dade County; $2M from the State of Florida; $1M from FDOT; and funds from notable private donors, including $600k from Swire Properties, more than $500k from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and $50k contributions each from Pinnacle Housing Group, Banyan Street Capital, Mary Brickell Village and Publix Charities.
