One of South Florida's most recognizable buildings is up for sale.

The International Game Fish Association’s headquarters, visible to thousands of drivers on Interstate 95 each day, is being marketed by Cushman & Wakefield as the organization plans to move to another property in South Florida.

No asking price was set for the three-story, 60K SF building on 12.7 acres, but Cushman & Wakefield said that comparable assets are trading at more than $300/SF.

The iconic building was developed beside a man-made lake in 1999 at 300 Gulfstream Way in Sportsman’s Park in Dania Beach. The Sun-Sentinel called it "a serious piece of architecture," which was designed by New Orleans firm Eskew+. It features a shiny stainless steel exterior that resembles fish scales, a triangular "fin" that houses a 100-seat movie theater, and a lobby with wooden slats like a boat's bottom.

It is next to the Design Center of the Americas and a 165K SF Brass Pro Shops. Kimco’s Dania Pointe, a new, 1M SF development, is being built across the highway and will ultimately feature 100 retail shops, two hotels, 1,000 apartments and 500K SF of office space.

The IGFA paid for its building in 2008 following a capital campaign, according to its website. Its museum component and fishing Hall of Fame moved to Springfield, Missouri, in 2015.

Cushman's commercial team of Scott O’Donnell, Dominic Montazemi, Miguel Alcivar, Greg Miller and Jason Hochman will handle the property sale.
