The Bond in Redmond recently earned its LEED Platinum rating.

The Bond, a 139-unit multifamily residential building in downtown Redmond, recently achieved its U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Platinum Certification for sustainability.

The building, located at 6160 East Lake Sammamish Parkway NE, includes energy- and water-efficient features that adhere to Environmental Protection Agency criteria. It has high-efficiency water faucets, showers and toilets that will save thousands of gallons of water per year.

A MainStreet Property Group development, the building was made with eco-friendly materials, include CRI Green Label Plus carpeting that meets indoor air quality standards. The low-VOC paints and adhesives further reduces air pollution. An indoor tree in the lobby improves the building’s air quality and connects the indoor and outdoor spaces. The site includes a 1.25-acre forest.

MainStreet, a Kirkland-based developer that strives to build green, recently completed the Heron Flats + Lofts in Redmond, which is also LEED Platinum. The Junction, The Carter,  LINQ Lofts + Flats and SKY Sammamish all have a minimum of LEED Gold rating.

MainStreet Property Group recently broke ground on Flyway in Kenmore and opened The Pop in Bothell.
