2nd & Pike, Connector Apartments to Pike Place Market Underway

Construction is underway on 2nd & Pike, a 39-story, mixed-use apartment tower being developed by Urban Visions. Sellen Construction had been preparing the site—currently a surface-parking lot at the southeast corner of the intersection—for more than a week. When completed, the property will have around 340 apartments and 9k SF of retail, and serve as a link between Pike Place Market and Downtown Seattle's retail core, reports the Puget Sound Business Journal. Seattle architect Tom Kundig of Olson Kundig designed the project. [PSBJ]
