Update: Mrs. Doubtfire's Arsonist Arrested

An arsonist set fire to Mrs. Doubfire's house on Steiner Street Monday night, sparking national headlines in outlets from TIME to TMZ. Today there's justice. The S.F. Police Department issued a statement Wednesday saying they had arrested Tyqwon Eugenen Welch, 25, of LA in the case, USA Today reports. (She was booked on charges of attempted murder, criminal threats, trespassing, arson and possession of an incendiary device and is being held at the San Francisco County Jail.) Above, our pic of the mansion at a happier time, before the passing of Robin Williams. The staircase, which housed barnyard animals in the 1993 hit, transformed into a memorial covered in flowers and cards following his death.

The homeowner--a local surgeon--could smell smoke outside of his PacHeights home and noticed that the doormat was on fire, a police spokesperson told USA Today. The damage was minimal, limited to the front door and doormat. The timing is especially unfortunate; just this past weekend, S.F. Public Works hosted a public art show remembering Robin. Here's a pic we shot, above.
