SunCal Revisits Oak Knoll Oakland Project

The mixed-use from Irvine-based SunCal has been put on pause for the past few years, but the developer has released new plans to build a 935-unit residential community at the former Oak Knoll Naval Hospital. The project would include 134 apartments, 433 townhomes and 368 single-family dwellings, reports The Registry. The development, designed by NY and S.F. firm Hart Howerton, would also include 72k SF of commercial/retail space, 77 acres of parks and open space, a restored creek and four miles of hiking trails. SunCal has been making big headlines in the East Bay as of late, recently announcing plans to jump on the Raiders stadium effort. [REG]
