Presidio Pitches 4-Story Residential at Gas Station Site in Marina

It appears the long-shuttered gas station at 1598 Bay St in Marina will go the residential route. That's based on a Preliminary Project Assessment submitted by Presidio Development Partners. The four-story, brick-clad building would house 28 units and 42 below-ground parking spaces, with three of those units getting private entryways from either Buchanan or Bay Street, reports Curbed. Architect Alex Seidel's design is described as "contemporary expression of the local character of San Francisco's Marina district with nuanced references to the area's historic architectural details."
