RealtyShares just brought on Bill Lanting as VP of commercial debt originations to head up expansion of its commercial debt offering.

Bill previously worked as an executive with Radisson Hotels and Wyndham Hotels and has been responsible for bridge loan originations, underwriting and raising large, multi-million dollar investment funds from institutional investors for Thorofare Capital and Partners Capital.

“Our focus has always been on identifying areas where raising capital is the most inefficient and providing real value there,” RealtyShares founder and CEO Nav Athwal. “We started with single-family debt and commercial equity, and over the last few months we’ve seen a real increase in interest from our customers in using our platform for commercial debt as well.”

RealtyShares can now offer all areas of the capital stack from low-risk bridge debt to risk-adjusted bridge debt and even mezzanine financing, Bill said.

RealtyShares’ network of investors has raised upwards of $200M across 400 investment opportunities, funding residential and commercial products in 31 states.
