Portland Construction Software Company Snaps Up Specialist In Cloud-Based Construction Tech

Viewpoint Construction Software has acquired Dexter + Chaney, which specializes in cloud-based construction tech, for an unspecified amount, Geekwire reports. Viewpoint has around 700 employees, with its HQ at 1515 SE Water Ave. in Portland, while Dexter & Chaney has about 100 employees at 9700 Lake City Way in Seattle.

Viewpoint products include integrated Enterprise Resource Planning software for contractors of any size, estimating software, a document control product, and cloud-based, offline mobile field software.

Dexter & Chaney’s Spectrum software helps construction companies manage such processes as payroll and accounting through cloud-based applications. They will be rolled into Viewpoint's offering.

Bain Capital owns Viewpoint, after acquiring a majority stake in the company in 2014. Pamlico Capital took a majority stake in Dexter & Chaney in 2015.
