Work Starts On $15M Children's Cancer Center

Ground has been broken by Phoenix Children's Hospital on a $15M children's cancer center on its campus at 20th Street and Thomas Road. The current facility is at capacity; in 2015, the center accommodated 22,000 patient appointments, an increase from 8,900 in 2007, the Phoenix Business Journal reports. The cancer center is expected to open the same time PCH's new $40M emergency department is completed. [PBJ]
