Kindred Healthcare has opened a $20M transitional care facility in Downtown Phoenix. Called Kindred Transitional Care - Phoenix, the 120-bed facility is Kindred's third inpatient facility in the Phoenix area.
The center includes bariatric rooms with customized beds, lifts and devices to safely move patients, and three therapy gyms and specialized equipment, the Phoenix Business Journal reports. Louisville-based Kindred is selling its 12 long-term acute-care hospitals—including two in Arizona—to Curahealth for more than $27M. [PBJ]
